i went to the local b & q yesterday--to the garden center. well organised queuing system in and out. trolley handle sanitiser available. polite staff, good humoured customers, one way foot traffic paths round the store. long may it continue. spent 40 quid on plants.

Dis/UNITED Kingdom?
by BoogerMan inengland, wales, scotland & n.i.
are independently making or changing the covid 19 lockdown laws/rules to suit themselves... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-52600708.
garden centres are opening in wales on monday, in england on wednesday, but by the looks of things, are far too dangerous to open them anytime soon in scotland or n.i.

My latest letter to WT demanding correction from their side
by Kosonen inbrothers and sisters associated with the watchtower society may 9, 2020. i have tried to inform you of the necessary adjustments you ought to take in order to truly be in the truth.
but my efforts have remained fruitless.
you well know the biblical procedure.

75th Anniversary of VE Day
by cofty intoday is the 75th anniversary of the end of wii in europe.
they were a special generation who were literally prepared to give their lives rather than submit to fascism.
millions paid the ultimate price.

This thread is not about Covid-19
by Ultimate Axiom inevery single news item, on every single news channel, and the majority of threads on this site, for the past three weeks seem to be either directly or indirectly related to covid-19.
is nothing else happening in the world?
has putin stopped slaughtering syrian civilians?

I thought it was absurd anybody made toilet paper that was so useless and the only reason I could think of was to discourage the public from stealing rolls of it.
it was made washable--for repeated use.. but it went out of favour with local authorities because it kept blocking the sewers

Have you ever known elders who were more into being and elder than really being a believer?
by phoenixrising ini have known many elders who were much more into the idea of being an elder and getting all the old ladies to tell them what wonderful talks they give and the power then really being a believer.
i had one elder tell me that when he became an elder he was on top dog on top of the heap.
i knew some who were really all about the religion and following the cult.

Comment on BBC News web site
by BoogerMan in"i've just been told by a nurse just off shift that 6 wards were put aside for cv19 at ninewells hospital in dundee and that only one is being used.
also that the virus is being put as cause of death on almost every death...including one male patient who died of cancer who tested positive but had no effects.
so bear that in mind, and this is genuinely what i've been told what is going on.".

natural death via old age
old age--thats what all elderly people die from, unless it was a fatal accident.

Are Ex-JW's Suffering From Burn Out?
by IWant2Leave inthe reason that i ask is, in the two years on this forum and you tube, i've seen ex-jw's either drop off entirely or make fewer and fewer videos.
i know the emotional toll can be high.
is that the sole reason, or is it cost (video) or do you think it's external pressure (legal or family)?

over the years ive been a member here i have noticed the changes--some obvious--some subtle. the anti jw activists have mainly gone--or been chucked out. the site has mellowed --a lot--recently, towards the watchtower society--which is now not considered a cult any more. I sometimes get the feeling that the watchtower is--in fact--running this show. Has the site been subject to heavy legal threats $$$$ ?
in fact--if my a/c here gets deleted--i think i'm on to something.
your thoughts ?
